Frequently Asked Questions
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in supporting people who struggle with chronic stress, anxiety, pain, illness, and unhealed grief and trauma. I empower those I work with to reconnect with their bodies, establish healthy boundaries with others, cultivate mindful presence, resilience, a sense of wholeness, and a deep connection to life.
How did you get into this work?
I got into healing work out of necessity. I grew up in an alcoholic, abusive home, and lost my mother to suicide when I was only eight years old. The chronic stress that resulted from this trauma led to CPTSD and an autoimmune condition. I have engaged in three decades of personal healing and self-exploration, which led me to want to help others. From early on in my healing path, I had a desire to help others in the way that other healers had helped me. To learn more about me, read my About page, or read my story.
Is this therapy?
No. All of the work I do falls under the umbrella of alternative healing. I am not a licensed social worker or psychotherapist, and none of the work I do is a substitute for psychotherapy or medical care. The work I do is Somatic Experiencing and trauma-informed bodywork (I am a trauma-trained practitioner).

Do you offer a sliding scale?
At this time, I do not offer a sliding scale. My rates are at a price point that makes my services accessible to more people. If you are interested in working together for a period of time, I do offer reduced-rate packages.
Are your sessions in-person or virtual?
I offer all session types in-person sessions in Asheville, North Carolina, and I offer Somatic Experiencing and spiritual coaching sessions online via Zoom.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance; however, some health insurance companies will reimburse you for hypnotherapy, life coaching, and massage therapy services. Check with your insurance company to find out if you qualify. If you do, I am happy to write you a receipt.
How many sessions will it take for me to get the results that I am seeking?
Each person brings different issues and challenges to our work together, and each one needs their own pacing. That being said, the work of nervous system regulation and trauma resolution is slower work by design. True healing is a process that takes time and patience.

The land I live and work on is the WNC Region of North Carolina, part of the systemically stolen lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
May we honor, acknowledge, and remember the people whose lands have been forcefully stolen from them through ethnic cleansing practices that have walked, still walk, and will continue to walk this land, stewarding her ancient beauty and wisdom. I see this acknowledgment as a tiny part of a more significant collective work to build equitable relationships and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
