The Wise Woman Circle

A Circle For Perimenopausal, Menopausal, and Postmenopausal Women 40+

“When the inner balance between who you think you are and who you really are shifts, you go through something like an initiation experience as you find your new equilibrium.”

Susanne F. Fincher

The wise woman archetype invites us to become the woman we have always intended to be. She connects us with the wisdom and the power of the crone, of the woman who has been through challenges in life and has come out the other side stronger, more resilient, more confident in who she is, and more sure of her place in the world.

The wise woman invites us to cultivate a sense of safety, home, and belonging within ourselves and our own bodies. The wise woman understands from experience that seeking safety outside of herself never works and that she must instead find a way to create a sense of safety for herself. She does her best to attune to her inner wisdom to fulfill her own deepest needs and desires. She knows this is what empowers her, and while she may surely enjoy having supportive others in her life, she is not dependent on anyone else to meet her needs the way she may have been in the past.

The wise woman doesn’t apply to convention and paves her own way. She is unafraid to use her voice to speak up for things that matter to her, and she does not need the approval of others. She has strong boundaries and stands in the truth and power of who she is. She operates on her own self-authority and works to cultivate emotional maturity and self-mastery in all areas of her life.

The wise woman is a woman who is blossoming into the fullest version of herself.

“The crone has been missing from our culture for so long that many women, particularly young girls, know nothing of her tutelage. Young girls in our society are not initiated into womanhood with its accompanying dignity and power. Without the crone, the task of belonging to oneself, of being a whole person, is virtually impossible.”

Health issues, insomnia, mood swings, anxiety, rage, loss of libido, regret…

Menopause is the great unraveling.

A dismantling.

A deconstruction of who we believed ourselves and life to be.

Midlife is a challenging time, to be sure, and it can be extremely isolating.

Not only does our culture not venerate aging women, but it also makes us feel utterly invisible, rejected, and unwanted.

The truth is, that midlife and menopause offer the most potent initiation that women will ever experience. Unlike the initiations of marriage and childbirth, this one is all about us…it’s about our healing and ours alone, and we typically are forced to navigate it alone. This initiation journey offers us an opportunity to release old egoic thoughts, beliefs, stories, and rules that no longer serve us so we can step into a deep alignment with our authentic selves…the essence of who we came here to be.

“Kara brings her energy and gifts to the circles she gathers. And that energy gave me the courage to speak my truth and see new ways of being with my intentions, allowing for patience as much as always working towards my goals. Kara has a playful style along with the truth she speaks. 5 stars all the way!” Betsy P.

“The things that women reclaim are often their own voice, their own values, their imagination, their clairvoyance, their stories, their ancient memories. If we go for the deeper, and the darker, and the less known we will touch the bones.”

Clarissa Pinkola Estés

The Wise Woman Circle

A Path of Feminine Power For Midlife and Beyond

Why Women’s Circle?

Women’s circle offers a safe, sacred space for women to connect with other women. Sacred circle offers us a space that is fundamentally different from the way women have interacted much of the time in our modern culture, which is often so heavily based on competitiveness and fear, which can breed feelings of not-enoughness. Circle is a space of unconditionally and vulnerability, a space where we are accepted, held, and loved as we are.

In circle, we hold space and we support one another. In circle we find…

healing,

coherence,

resonance,

deep connection,

belonging,

union,

and true sisterhood.

In the alchemy of circle, we find personal transformation. This transformation heals us, our mothers, our daughters, and all women. It heals our lives.

Together, we heal, and together we rise higher than we can alone.

In circle, we honor the divine mother, the cycles of life, and the cycles of mother nature. We recognize our oneness with the primal forces of nature and our interconnectedness with all of life. In circle, we find our sense of belonging.

We remember our divine nature and our feminine power.

In circle, we reawaken to the fullness of our being, and with the support of sisterhood, we find the capacity to embody our authentic expression. When we are held in the loving embrace of sisterhood, we can fulfill our true calling in life.

In our women’s circles, we provide a space for you to show up as you are.

We welcome ALL parts of you:

your joy

happiness

sadness

rage

terror

shame

grief

and bliss.

No part of you is excluded from the unconditional love of sacred sisterhood.

We welcome it all and offer you a non-judgmental and trauma-trained space to transmute your deepest pain into your greatest power.

The journey of reclaiming our feminine power is ongoing, and as we spiral more and more deeply, we gain an opportunity to refine and define…how we are showing up in the world, what our relationship to our power is, our relationship to the power of others, our sexual power, and all the ways that we move through the world. Aligning with the wise woman offers us a chance to become the woman we always were meant to become - the wisest, most authentic, resilient, courageous, brave, empowered, and embodied version of ourselves.

What We Do In Circle

When we join together in circle, we receive the gift of meditating together, singing together, praying together, moving together, holding space for one another, and witnessing each sister’s healing. In addition, the container of sacred sisterhood naturally deepens our own personal healing and deepening as wise women.

You can expect somatic healing practices, Earth-based wisdom, divine feminine archetypal healing, heart shares, connection, sound bath, music, movement, and a healing journey.

We gather as close to the dark (waning) moon as possible to connect with the potent power of the dark mother goddess and the crone.

Hail Hecate,

Queen of the Night,

Keeper of the Keys,

She who sees beyond the veil,

She who knows what is hidden to most…

The past, the present, and the future,

The underneath, and what lies in shadow.

Light the way,

And shine your torch so that I may see

The path laid out before me.

Guide me through the crossroads of life.

Show me the way that leads to

the fulfillment of my soul.

Teach me to let go and move on

When the time is right,

Releasing all that no longer serves me,

that which binds me to the past

and to less evolved versions of myself.

Shine your torch when the night is darkest,

When my vision and courage are obscured

Showing me the way

That will lead me to the depths of life,

Helping me to embody the powers and wisdom

Of the crone.

Hail Hecate,

Queen of the Night,

Keeper of the Keys,

She who knows what is hidden to most…

The past, the present, and the future,
