Grief, Loss & Honoring the Dead

  • Gaia Sophia Center For Spiritual Awakening 70 Woodfin Place #212 Asheville, North Carolina United States (map)

The celebration of Samhain, Halloween, the Day of the Dead, and the turning of the wheel is significant in many ways. It is a time to honor the underworld, the thinning of the veil between the world of the seen and the world of the unseen, and it is a time to honor those who have come before us. This time of year can naturally also be a time of deep grief around losses we may have experienced in the past. While we usually think of the death of a loved one when we consider death, there are many deaths that we experience regularly, as any kind of ending is a death. This can take the form of relationships ending, the loss of jobs, the ending of friendships, major life transitions, and more. In this class, we will learn about how to manage grief and loss in a way that leads to not only healing but a deepening of our own spiritual path.

Our circle will be held at Gaia Sophia Center Sanctuary at 70 Woodfin Place #212 in Asheville. There is ample parking in the parking lot.
