You Come First

A reminder…

It is not your job to save the world.

It is not your job to save your family.

It is not your job to save your community.

It is not your job to save your clients.

It is not your job to save your students.

It never was your job to save or fix anyone,

and I am sorry you were put in that position as a child.

That was unfair.

Now it is your turn.

Now you get to come first.

Your worth is not contingent

on what you do for others.

You do not have to earn love.

You are worthy just because you are alive.

As you heal your relationship with yourself

and learn to put yourself first,

your whole world transforms.

It is time to put your own healing and needs first,

even though your needs may have never been a priority before.

As you tend to your own needs,

you fill yourself up.

When you give from a place of fullness,

your giving is effortless and fulfilling.

Do it even though that may be

the most unnatural thing for you to do.

You are learning a new way of living

that will allow you to thrive

the way you have always wanted.
